How to Create a Pin on Pinterest
There is a way to put your own photos on Pinterest! Start by clicking on the "Add" button at the top of your Pinterest screen.
This (see below) will pop up on your screen and give you three options. Select "Upload a Pin"
Upload a picture from your computer and pick what board you'd like it to go on. Then fill in your description.
Your new pin will come up and show that it was "uploaded by user". That would be you! The problem is that there's no link to the pin for people to click on. Click on "Edit" to fix this!
Under the description, you'll see a blank space for the link. Copy and paste the website you want the pin to be linked to into that space and select "Save Pin".
When your pin opens back up, check out the spot for the link. It should tell the user what website the pin will take them to if they choose to follow the link. Go ahead and test it so you can see how smart you are.
Done! Give yourself a pat on the back!"

Create Kids Couture Serena Contest
Thank you for stopping by our Design Competition! I have to say this has been one of the funnest (and most competitive!) challenges we have done yet!
The Boutique Challenge Auctions (BCA) designers paired up with Create Kids Couture (CKC) to create a super fun competition! The designers got together and through a couple rounds of voting they chose the Serena Design for this Competition. So all the dresses are essentially the same but Oh My! they do not look the same! It's amazing what you can do with this pattern!
Create Kids Couture is a Pattern Design company offering both paper and PDF patterns. Shannon and Tiffany co-own CKC and after meeting in 2008, they quickly bonded and taught themselves and each other what they knew about clothing design. "After years of requests from fans, we finally decided to share our unique, one-of-a-kind design with everyone by forming Create Kids Couture in July 2011. When we opened we had just 5 patterns and after really discovering our love for designing we quickly grew to have over 40 patterns in just 6 months." Way to Grow CKC!!
So each designer purchased the Serena pattern from CKC and were given a certain amount of time to create the dress and make it their own. We have some entrants who really added their own flavor to the design and the fabric combinations used are amazing!
Take a look through all of the entries and comment to let us know which one is your favorite design! Then enter the Rafflecopter giveaway with your vote. All Rafflecopter entries will be entered into a raffle to win a $10 gift certificate which can be used in any of our Auctions within the next 60 days.
The designers are going through 2 rounds of voting. The Fan favorite will earn them a great auction package for future auctions. Then there is the CKC Voting round where Create Kids Couture will chose their favorite as well. Winners will be announced after the competition has ended! So be sure to vote on your favorite to help them become a Fan Favorite and earn your chance to win a $10 BCA Gift Certificate at the same time!
If you would like to purchase any of these designs, be sure to check out the Live auction this weekend on our Facebook page. Click HERE to visit the auction now!

Make Your Own Cooling Neck Wrap
Make Your Own Cooling Neck Wrap
Materials:
~4”x44”
strip of fabric*
~2 TBS
water beads (non-toxic, safe for use close to skin)
*When choosing fabric, consider the
print and color. A smaller print will show better and you want to avoid
colors/fabric that bleed when wet. I have used both woven cotton and cotton
knit to make these before.Directions:
1~Cut your fabric strip approx. 4”x44” and iron
2~Fold in half lengthwise, right sides together. Machine
stitch or serge one end and the long side, leaving one end open.
3~ Turn tube right side out and iron
Measure, Sew, Fill
4~Mark Middle, mark 4” and 8” on either side of the middle
5~Stitch line completely across fabric (use a tight straight
stitch, back-stitching at each end), start with the mark closest to the end
that is already stitched closed, pour ½ TBS water beads into the tube. (my ½
TBS measure fits inside the tube, but you can use a funnel if you need) Using
your fingers, work all beads down to your stitching.
6~Repeat step five for your next three marks. Stitch across
your tube at your final mark to complete four separate filled pockets.
7~Fold fabric ¼” to the inside on the open end, stitch
closed.
8~Clip threads and you’re done!
How to Use:
~To use, soak in water, it may take 15+ minutes the first time for the beads to fully soak. Wrap around your neck or head for cooling relief. When the kids and I are going on an outing, I place our neck wraps inside a double layer of zipper seal bags with a little water and ice. Easy to carry and ready to use; then I have the bags to put them back in when we are done.
